Admiral Play launches new product range

Following its acquisition by landscape services company tcl, Admiral Play has launched its new range of products and services, providing a true 'one stop shop' for customers. Simon Cashmore, Managing Director of tcl group, explained the benefits of joining the two businesses. "Admiral can now offer a full end to end solution in the creation of exciting play spaces. Our design team are all qualified landscape architects and also accredited RPII play inspectors, so they have a unique perspective on blending play elements with the natural environment.

"Within a design we can specify equipment from a range of manufacturers, carefully selecting products which we think deliver the best balance of play value, quality, and cost in today's market.

"Finally, our fully employed, uniformed and CRB checked installation teams deliver a first class service and our team leaders are all qualified RPII inspectors, so they have a complete understanding of the installation requirements. We don't use subcontractors for our installations. And we offer a full, post installation care and maintenance service.

"This is what makes us different; we integrate landscape and play area design, natural features and equipment supply, and our own installation and maintenance operation."

Along with the new product range, Admiral has also launched a new website, which gives details of all its products – with a difference. The price is clearly shown, including the cost of delivery and installation. The only extras are any safer surfacing that may be required and VAT. Simon Cashmore explains, "Having listened to our customers, we found a degree of frustration in that they find it hard to get prices easily. Prices that are given are frequently for the cost of the equipment only. We therefore decided to quote a fully installed price on our website to help their budgeting process." The website also includes useful information including a guide to funding, intended to help schools and community groups with their fundraising efforts and a section on linking outdoor activities and play with the requirements of the national curriculum.

"We hope our new website proves informative and helpful to those making decisions on play projects," says Mr Cashmore, "and we are always happy to hear from users on ways in which we can improve it."
